We are not leaving anything out. Let’s share our stories. Let’s break the cycle. Let’s break the stigma. Tell a friend, to tell a friend!

BLOOM is an interactive, collaborative wellness event with a health-promoting approach. We focus on practical ways women can feed their mind, body, and soul with what is essential, so they can thrive and live a vibrant, purpose-filled life.

Each year, we focus on a variety of nutrition and wellness-related topics that are usually undervalued or overlooked in the community to help women build more confidence in their bodies while nourishing a healthy relationship with food.

You are invited to join us at our next BLOOM event for an unforgettable life-changing experience!

BLOOM 2021

At the BLOOM Virtual Retreat, we elevated the conversation around body image, nutrition and periods. A portion of the proceeds went to the Fibroid Foundation, a non-profit organization raising fibroids awareness, advocating for ongoing funding of fibroids research, erasing the stigma of silence around women’s menstrual health, and helping to minimize treatment disparities with layered patient support

BLOOM 2020

As women, we’re the experts on our own bodies. Most times, we know what does and doesn’t feel normal, but we don’t always feel empowered to speak up to get the care we need. The health of a woman’s reproductive system also affects the rest of her body. At BLOOM 2020, we dug a little deeper into the topics of sexual & reproductive wellness and highlighted things like periods, vaginal care, sex, (in)fertility, mental wellness, diet, body positivity & more.

We had an afternoon of great discussions by speakers Kendra Tolbert, MS, RDDietitian & Yoga Teacher, Shawn Davis-Wilensky, MD, MPH, FACOG, Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Erica St. Bernard, LCMFT, Therapist & Founder, Your Life’s Well, Mabel Obinim Bashorun, CD (DONA), Within Her Birth Services and moderators Moe Digga & Valerie Agyeman, RDN.  Amazing music and vibes were from Singer & Songwriter Abigail Furr.

This years vendors were DC-metro women owned businesses and organizations: Sabreen Cosmetics, Sprinkle Me Cake, Jasmine’s Nail Obsession, Akiba Fragrance & Wellness Studio, Crowned Magnolia Birth Services, Sister Circle, Charismatic Creations, Embrace Makeup Artistry, Machee Creates, Pokes by Marcy.
